Incentive Eligible Position: Yes
Essential Functions:
Write up incoming intakes. Review labs, UDS, radiology reports, nursing notes, H & P, affidavits, acuity, and any additional information.
Review incoming intakes with psychiatrist.
Correspond with outlying facilities regarding bed availability.
Organize intakes into appropriate folders in Odin.
Complete monthly EMTALA log.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Abilities:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
Ability to identify those who need help.
Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
BLS and NCI within 90 days of employment, renewed bi-annually / annually.
GED, High School Diploma or relevant training/experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Healthcare Experience preferred.
