Vitesse Systems is looking for a Director of Program Management to join the team! This is a multi-site role that can be based in Longmont, Colorado or Harbor City, California, overseeing long-term and day-to-day program operations, while supporting new business captures. The Director of Program Management is a key representative of Vitesse Systems to our customers and external partners, helping to drive growth and ensure excellence across our programs.

The Role
The primary responsibilities of the Director of Program Management will be to collaborate closely with the General Manager to establish and execute both tactical and strategic company goals. The Director of Program Management will oversee the Program Management Team and be the primary interface with customers, as well as being accountable for driving the implementation of program schedule and flow down of customer requirements. They will be a key contributor to forecasting, planning, and implementing big-picture goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the General Manager on business objectives and serve as the site lead delegate when appropriate
- Lead day-to-day and long-term program operations across multiple sites and multiple programs
- Ensure program delivery maintains 98% OTD as it is currently holding
- Serve as the program representative of Vitesse Systems to customers and external partners
- Uphold policies and best practices throughout the company
- Lead by example to reflect our Mission, Vision, and Core Values
- Integrate employee performance management practices with the PMO.
- Strategically engage employees in business objectives by understanding, developing, and empowering employee strengths.
- Analyze and collaborate with internal key stake holders on capacity loading in the proposal and execution phases
- Collaborate with outside resources to drive business partnerships
- Supports schedule estimates for bids and quotes
- Drives an earned value structure for measure program completion
- Support the Innovation Center of Excellence, Advanced Planning Team, and Sales with manufacturability decisions
- Research prospective programs to assess needed resources, and present plans for execution and implementation
- Manages process of and is responsible for the flow down of customer requirements
- Develops and maintain strong customer relationships
- Collaborate with customer to define an achievable technical package that meets the customer needs
- Research industry market strategies to drive company objectives and build business
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 12 years of industry experience
- At least 7 years of experience in space and/or missile and defense applications
- Proven track record of managing programs and people successfully
- 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in the PMO
- Deep understanding of the market Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project Required.
- Passionate about delivering remarkable customer service
- Ability to speak publicly in front of large groups. Earned Value Management Experience Strong resource and priority management skills
