We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Associate Teacher to support high quality early childhood instruction in our preschool program. In this role, you will work closely with a Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintain a positive and structured learning environment, and foster strong relationships with children and families. Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may be qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. • Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or equivalent. • Possess or eligible to obtain a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Qualifications: o 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development specific courses as outlined by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing o 3 semester units in Infant/Toddler courses (required for Toddler program, Title 22). Can be met with the prerequisite units from above category if qualifying. o 50 days of instructional experience in a childcare and development program, working at least three hours per day within the last two years. • Valid Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification (EMSA qualified) or ability to obtain within first six (6) months of employment
