About the job
Located in our Arden Hills, Minnesota headquarters, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to: preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining financial records, and assisting with other accounting related tasks. This role will be onsite 3 to 4 days per week, and is part of the Neuros Medical Finance team.
The role includes:
Responsibilities
· Support month-end financial closes.
· Record general ledger entries related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other banking transactions.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure vendor invoices are entered into the system timely and properly approved.
· Maintain Accounts Payable email inbox.
· Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy of financial records.
· Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts and other various general ledger account reconciliations.
· Assist with internal and external audit requests.
· Coordinate Concur onboarding for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.
· Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
· Help establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
· Assist with various accounting projects and tasks as needed by the finance department.
Qualifications
· Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
· Proficient in NetSuite and Microsoft Office
· Strong organization skills and attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
Education and Experience:
· 2-5 years accounting experience
· Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
· Proficient in NetSuite and Microsoft Office
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
· Certified public accountant (CPA) license or equivalent preferred but not required
