Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify patient needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy,
- Provide individual, group, family, and pediatric counseling sessions focused on mental health issues including PTSD care, grief counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or head injuries.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during emergencies.
- Maintain thorough medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist, or equivalent credentialing required by state law.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and group therapy.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Experience with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols within inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical records management.
- Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for virtual platforms is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly while maintaining professionalism.
