Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Director will guide program development, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive organizational growth.
This is an onsite position at our Union, NJ location, requiring direct engagement with licensed clinical staff, client families, referring organizations, and community partners. The Program Director will lead program managers, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality behavioral health services aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities,
Strategic Leadership & Program Development
- Provide overall vision, leadership, and direction for all clinical and community-based programs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate new and existing programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and community needs.
- Lead strategic initiatives to expand services, secure funding, and strengthen community partnerships.
- Oversee program budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure all programs comply with NJ State, NJ CSOC, DCF, Medicaid, and federal regulatory standards.
- Monitor program outcomes, conduct audits, and implement quality improvement plans.
- Oversee accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and data analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as primary liaison with state agencies, funders, and accreditation bodies.
- Supervise and mentor Program Managers, Clinical Supervisors, and other leadership staff.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work culture that emphasizes professional growth and accountability.
- Oversee clinical onboarding, staff training, and adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Implement performance evaluations, workforce planning, and succession development strategies.
- Cultivate partnerships with federal, state, county, and community organizations.
- Represent Neuropath at external meetings, forums, and community events.
- Advocate for client populations and contribute to policy development in behavioral health.
- Advanced knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities, clinical program operations, and evidence-based practices.
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, program analysis, and contract compliance.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a high-demand environment.
- Expertise in program development, expansion, and community resource integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Commitment to cultural competency, equity, and client-centered care.
- Familiarity with Cyber, PerformCare, NJ CSOC, and DCF guidelines.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
- Active clinical license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or LCADC) strongly preferred, not required.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, including at least 5 years in a program director or Program manager role.
- Demonstrated success in program oversight, compliance, and service delivery in corporate, community-based or clinical settings.
- Experience in grant management, contract compliance, and funder relations strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese) a plus.

Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
