We are seeking a self-motivated and adaptable Scientist to join our Translational Medicine Team. In this role, you will play a key role in translating preclinical science to the clinic, directly guiding the delivery and administration of cellular therapeutics during patient procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Translational Lead for non-clinical studies including planning, dosing, enrollment, and analysis supporting clinical device development
- Lead ex vivo tissue analysis, including histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC), to support mechanism, biodistribution, and safety assessments
- Contribute towards the development of new processes for administering cellular therapeutics.
- Provide technical and scientific support to operating room and clinical staff as Neurona’s representative at clinical sites during patient enrollment activities.
- Participate in the training and technology transfer of cell transplantation procedures to clinical sites.
- Understand SOPs and contribute to continuous process improvement strategies.
- Generate scientific reports and contribute towards regulatory submissions. Present data at team meetings.
- Acquire and apply an in-depth knowledge of appropriate cell preparation processes, cell delivery procedures, and clinical trial protocols.
- Manage equipment and material inventories throughout studies.
- Demonstrate strong follow-through, closure of responsibilities and assignments.
- Travel to clinical sites is required (approximately 50% effort)
- PhD in Neuroscience or Biomedical Engineering (or related field) or
- Master’s in Neuroscience or Biomedical Engineering; with a minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Expertise in ex vivo tissue analysis, including histology and immunohistochemistry
- Preferred experience in cell transplantation in preclinical and/or clinical settings
- Understanding of clinical or non-clinical delivery methods and technologies
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in MRI and OR environments.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently when traveling to clinical sites.
- A learning mindset, open to becoming an expert across multiple therapeutic areas
- Adaptable and flexible, ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated with a sound work ethic, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to acquire new technical skills.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
