Position Summary
The Clinical Lead plays a pivotal role in the Clinical Development team by overseeing regional training programs (basic, CNIM, and advanced), mentoring technologists, and guiding mentors. This role supports clinical cases, promotes best practices in intraoperative monitoring (IOM), and ensures consistent, high-quality service delivery across all markets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Regional Clinical Oversight
- Assess and identify regional clinical needs.
- Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to implement national training and support initiatives.
- Partner with Clinical Managers and Team Leads to proactively support employee development.
- Review and act on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure clinical excellence.
- Training Program Support
- Operationalize regional education and quality initiatives in partnership with the Clinical Development team.
- Identify and train mentors, preceptors, and clinical support personnel.
- Implement defined clinical standards and clinical protocols to drive consistent service delivery across the organization.
- Support CNIM preparation through tracking, accountability, remediation, and instruction.
- Provide advanced training procedures in the operating room.
- Mentorship & Clinical Support
- Provide direct clinical support and case coverage as needed.
- Mentor trainee technologists and oversee clinical consistency across teams.
- Participate in trainee interviews and contribute to onboarding processes.
- Case Coverage
- Serve as primary clinical coverage when required, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education Licenses/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline required.
- Certification in intraoperative neuromonitoring (CNIM) or related neurophysiology credentials.
Experience
- 5 years of clinical experience in (IONM) or clinical neuroscience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated clinical excellence and a strong understanding of intraoperative monitoring best practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to present findings and coach effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and comfort navigating digital documentation tools.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across clinical and operational teams.
Working Conditions
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, mitigated by established health precautions and protective clothing.
- Frequent travel by motor vehicle and/or air to healthcare facilities in urban and rural areas.
- Variable work schedules, including weekends, and availability during non-scheduled hours.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to stand, turn, and stoop among several types of equipment in an operating room for a minimum of two (2) hours to a maximum of twelve (12) hours.
- Ability to apply different types of electrodes to a patient’s anatomy with precision and speed in preparation of monitoring a surgical procedure.
- Ability to drive/commute.
