The NeuroMedical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Procedure Scheduler to join our Pain Management team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient coordination and scheduling of all hospital-based procedures for the department. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with experience in medical scheduling, patient coordination, and insurance verification.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Scheduling
- Schedule pain management procedures based on physician availability and patient needs.
- Completes and faxes any required orders and consents to appropriate locations.
- Coordinates the related documentation and communication, including cardiac clearance and education to prepare patients for procedure.
- Maintains timely, complete documentation and record-keeping to ensure accurate continuity of patient care.
- Coordinate pre-operative appointments including labs, consultations, and educational sessions.
Communication
- Provide patients with detailed pre- and post-procedure instructions and reminders.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to address scheduling conflicts or changes.
- Respond to patient inquiries related to procedures, billing, and insurance coverage.
Administrative Duties
- Prepare all necessary documentation including consent forms and medical records.
- Confirm insurance prior authorizations for scheduled procedures when applicable.
- Maintain and monitor procedure schedules for efficient resource use within the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and The NeuroMedical Center’s confidentiality policies.

Perform additional tasks and participate in professional development as required by management.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in physician practice or hospital procedure scheduling preferred.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage complex scheduling needs.
- Must be self-motivated, flexible, and demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality protocols required.
