Position Overview - Work Location: Remote, Houston or New York
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President, Commercial Supply Chain, will be responsible for building and leading Neurogene’s end-to-end commercial supply chain strategy in preparation for the anticipated launch of NGN-401 and future pipeline assets. This leader will establish the operational foundation required to support commercialization, including demand planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory strategy, commercial distribution, cold-chain logistics, serialization, product traceability, launch readiness, and external supply chain partnerships. The Vice President will serve as a critical cross-functional leader, partnering closely with Commercial, Market Access, Technical Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and external partners to ensure reliable product availability, operational excellence, and seamless treatment center execution.

Commercial Supply Chain Strategy
- Develop and execute Neurogene's commercial supply chain strategy in support of launch readiness, commercialization, and long-term growth.
- Build scalable supply chain capabilities, processes, systems, and governance structures appropriate for a commercial-stage biotechnology organization.
- Lead cross-functional launch readiness activities related to product availability, inventory deployment, treatment center support, and operational execution.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain, distribution, and operational risks that could impact patient access or business performance.
- Serve as the commercial supply chain representative within executive governance, launch planning, and commercialization forums.
- Establish and lead Neurogene's commercial Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Translate commercial demand forecasts into actionable supply plans and manufacturing requirements in partnership with Technical Operations and external manufacturing partners.
- Develop inventory deployment, allocation, and replenishment strategies to support anticipated demand and launch scenarios.
- Lead ongoing demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain performance reviews.
- Partner with Finance to align operational assumptions with financial planning and inventory investment strategies.
- Design and oversee Neurogene's commercial distribution network, including third-party logistics providers (3PLs), specialty distribution partners, and other external service providers.
- Develop and implement best-in-class cold chain logistics processes to ensure product integrity throughout storage, transportation, and treatment center delivery.
- Establish systems and processes supporting serialization, chain of custody, product traceability, shipment visibility, inventory control, and excursion management.
- Lead distribution readiness activities required to support commercial launch and future geographic expansion.
- Ensure commercial distribution capabilities comply with applicable regulatory, quality, and operational requirements.
- Partner with Market Access leadership to evaluate, design, and operationalize commercial distribution and fulfillment models that optimize patient access, treatment center experience, reimbursement success, and operational efficiency.
- Assess and develop distribution strategies, including buy-and-bill, specialty distribution, specialty pharmacy, consignment inventory, and other innovative fulfillment approaches as appropriate.
- Support establishment and maintenance of commercial distribution readiness capabilities, including trading partner onboarding, distribution authorizations, and state licensure requirements in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and external partners.
- Develop scalable operational frameworks to support evolving market and customer needs.
- Serve as the primary commercial interface with manufacturing regarding demand planning, launch readiness, inventory strategy, supply allocation, and long-range capacity planning.
- Partner closely with Technical Operations to ensure alignment between commercial demand forecasts and manufacturing execution.
- Oversee commercial packaging, labeling, storage, and distribution vendor relationships.
- Establish governance structures, key performance indicators, and service-level expectations across critical supply chain partners.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial teams to ensure treatment centers are operationally prepared to receive, store, manage, and administer Neurogene therapies.
- Support development of operational workflows that align product availability with treatment scheduling and treatment center readiness.
- Collaborate on inventory management requirements, treatment center logistics, and operational best practices.
- Ensure all commercial supply chain activities are conducted in compliance with applicable cGMP, GDP, regulatory, quality, and trade requirements.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to support inspections, audits, launch readiness activities, and commercialization requirements.
- Develop comprehensive business continuity, supply risk mitigation, and contingency planning strategies across the commercial supply network.
- Ensure appropriate governance and controls are maintained across all commercial supply chain activities.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, Life Sciences, or related discipline required.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, or related discipline) preferred.
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, biologics, gene therapy, cell therapy, or other advanced therapeutic organizations.
- Demonstrated success supporting commercial launch planning and execution for specialty, rare disease, biologic, cell therapy, or gene therapy products.
- Deep expertise in commercial supply chain management, S&OP, demand planning, inventory strategy, distribution operations, and cold chain logistics.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers, specialty distribution networks, and external supply chain partners.
- Strong understanding of serialization, product traceability, commercial distribution requirements, and launch readiness activities.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, GDP, quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting commercialization of gene therapies, cell therapies, or other advanced therapeutic modalities strongly preferred.
- Experience in rare disease and highly specialized treatment center-based therapies preferred.
- Experience building commercial supply chain capabilities within a pre-commercial biotechnology company preferred.
