Job Description:
Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., a full-service mid-sized law firm with offices in New Haven, Hartford, and Fairfield, Connecticut, is seeking a mid-senior level Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Real Estate and Transactional Practice Group in its New Haven office.
This position is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented transactional attorney with experience in commercial real estate transactions and commercial lending. The associate will work closely with senior attorneys on a broad range of sophisticated transactions while managing matters independently as appropriate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related transactional documents
- Representing lenders and borrowers in commercial finance transactions (including SBA backed loans)
- Preparing and reviewing loan documentation, title, survey, and due diligence materials
- Coordinating closings and post-closing matters
- Advising clients on entity formation and transactional structuring related to real estate and commercial finance matters
- Working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff while maintaining the ability to manage assignments independently
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in Connecticut (New York license is a benefit)
- 4 years of relevant transactional experience preferred
- Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
