Networks Connect is conducting a search on behalf of our client, a well-established full-systems provider of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment across Western New York and Northern Pennsylvania. This Inside Sales Engineer opportunity is ideal for a technically minded, self-motivated professional looking to build a career supporting a growing outside sales team in a complex, solutions-oriented sales environment.
In this role, you will work closely with outside sales staff to support customers and prospects across the Architectural, Engineering, Owner, and Design-Build client base. You'll be responsible for evaluating customer systems, quoting projects, and maintaining the pipeline that keeps the sales organization moving. This is a strong seat for someone who wants to develop deep technical and industry expertise while playing a central role in the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, review, log, and accurately quote public and private projects
- Develop and maintain the pipeline, customers, and prospects needed to support continued sales success
- Analyze cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications to identify improvements for customers
- Evaluate customer systems and propose changes to equipment, processes, or services
- Serve as technical sales lead throughout the pre-sales cycle, owning and driving evaluations to a successful close
- Provide technical pre-sales support for direct and channel sales teams
- Set priorities and advance sales opportunities alongside respective sales team members
- Build cross-department relationships and maintain clear lines of communication; track activities in the company database
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree is a strong plus
- Sales and/or industrial/commercial experience will be considered.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn industry-specific vocabulary and systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter capable of high output with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with a professional, polished presence
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
