What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Account Manager - Enterprise Electronic Security position at Network Mountain?
We are looking for a Technical Account Manager to manage and grow existing commercial accounts within electronic security, with a primary focus on access control. This is a relationship driven role, but it requires real technical depth. You need to understand how access control systems work, be comfortable discussing system architecture and customer requirements, and be able to recognize where an existing customer has opportunities for upgrades, expansions, service, and additional technology. What You’ll Do • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of enterprise security accounts • Develop relationships with customers and identify opportunities to expand their access control environments • Conduct customer meetings and site visits to understand current systems, pain points, upcoming projects, and future needs • Identify opportunities for system upgrades, additional doors, integrations, new locations, migrations, and other electronic security solutions • Work with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, project management, and field technicians to develop and deliver solutions • Review existing system configurations, drawings, and proposals and communicate technical requirements internally • Maintain regular contact with key accounts and develop long term customer relationships • Manage opportunities from initial identification through proposal and close • Become a trusted resource for customers rather than simply a point of contact for pricing What We’re Looking For • Experience in electronic security, with strong knowledge of commercial access control systems • Technical understanding of access control hardware, software, controllers, readers, credentials, locking hardware, and system architecture • Ability to understand how access control systems are designed, installed, integrated, and serviced • Experience working with platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Avigilon, Brivo, AMAG, or similar systems is a plus • Ability to have credible technical conversations with security directors, facility managers, IT teams, engineers, and technicians • Strong account management and relationship building skills • Ability to identify and develop opportunities within existing accounts • Comfortable conducting site walks and assessing customer environments • Strong communication and organizational skills • Self motivated and capable of managing a book of business with limited oversight
