Job Summary

Network Integrated Services Inc. is hiring a Low Voltage / Fiber Optic Technician to install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and low-voltage systems. This position is ideal for someone with experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, or network infrastructure who enjoys hands-on technical work and problem-solving.

Technicians will work on a variety of commercial and telecommunications projects throughout the assigned service area. Travel to different job sites is required based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic cabling, structured cabling, and low-voltage systems
• Perform fiber optic termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
• Install and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling
• Use testing equipment to verify cable performance and system functionality
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Install and support telecommunications and network equipment
• Complete cable labeling, organization, and documentation
• Follow project requirements and company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Travel to job sites throughout the assigned service area as needed
• Provide professional communication with customers, team members, and project partners

Qualifications

• Previous experience in low-voltage, fiber optic, structured cabling, or telecommunications installation preferred
• Knowledge of network cabling and communication systems
• Fiber optic splicing and testing experience is a plus
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Ability to read basic diagrams and installation documents
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor environments

• OTDR testing experience
• Fusion splicing experience
• Structured cabling installation
• CCTV/security system installation
• Network infrastructure experience
