What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Health Records Assistant position at Network Human Services?
Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week
Scope of Responsibility:
The Billing and EHR Assistant is responsible for ensuring the quality of documentation and billing (attendance) of all services and provide support to employees in the use of Therap.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
· Direct care experience with IDD/DDS preferred.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to resolve issues and provide clear instruction.
· Good analytical and problem solving skills.
· Experience in using Therap.
· Experience in using Excel and other Microsoft products.
· Obtain and maintain all required certifications to include FA/CPR, PMT, Bi-Annual Inservice, and medication certification.
· Valid Connecticut Driver’s License and eligibility for Network’s auto insurance.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
Working Relationships:
The position reports to the Billing and Admissions Director. Develops and maintains relationships with the following:
· Other Administrative staff
· Program Directors, Managers, and Staff
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist the EHR Director in monitoring Therap documentation for all programs.
· Create, update, and maintain Therap user guides as needed.
· Generates billing, attendance, and revenue reports for services as assigned and serve as backup for supervisor.
· Ensure that support documentation for attendance and billing is adequate and meets applicable guidelines. Provide feedback and guidance to staff as needed.
· Assist with maintaining accurate client and billing records as assigned.
· Assist with the implementation of new Therap modules including training, developing materials, and setup.
· Responsible for billing and documentation related to CLA, DSO, and In Home Day at all locations.
· Monitor the daily documentation of current IP goals and T-Logs and provide feedback to Direct Support Staff as needed.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and management regarding day-to-day questions, support, and issue resolution within Therap.
· Set up all new users and update user privileges as needed.
· Assist the EHR Director in updating and adding ISP Programs to Therap.
· Participate in ongoing training, in services and staff meetings as necessary for the department
· Other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
