Please note that this is a 12 to 18 month contract position.
This position is 2nd Shift: 2pm to 3pm start time.
Requirements:
- Injection mold operation experience OR machine operator experience in a production/manufacturing environment where the candidate has actually produced parts
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in molding, assembly, or manufacturing operations
- Ability to follow documented procedures and processes
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Team-oriented mindset with motivation and energy
- Bilingual communication skills a plus
Must Have:
Must have assembly, manufacturing experience or production machine operation experience. Candidates with a background of CNC would not be transferable.
Summary of Position:
This role involves making plastic Microplates used in Labs around the world. These parts are made from an Injection Mold press. The operator inspects the parts that come of the Molding press to be sure they are within specifications. After they inspect them, they will stack and bag them and they also input their production digitally. They have a computer at every press with work instructions as well.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform work according to documented Traveler procedures
- Inspect products and ensure inspection criteria are met throughout shift
- Arrive on time and follow posted break/lunch schedules
- Maintain machine coverage to ensure production continuity
- Follow dress code and product handling procedures
- Track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments
- Stop production and notify supervisor when product does not meet specifications
- Document production on provided forms for accountability
- Use and care for calibrated measuring instruments
- Ensure proper function of inspection and production tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety requirements and housekeeping practices
- Adhere to ISO procedures and Quality Policy
- Control non-conformances to prevent unintended shipments
- Segregate and properly mark non-compliant product
