Candidate Qualifications Required Skills & Education
Education: Associate of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or manufacturing facility (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Technical Proficiency: Prior experience working with chemical/biological formulations.
Soft Skills: Excellent oral/written communication and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Adaptability: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively both independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Regulated Environment: 1 years in a production environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Compliance: Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, and ISO standards.
Safety Advocacy: A proactive mindset regarding personal safety and the safety of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Formulation: Perform serological and chemical testing of intermediates (antibody dilutions and gel products). Execute dilutions of Monoclonal and Polyclonal antibodies and formulate necessary buffers/solutions.
Equipment Management: Lead the manual and automated cleaning, assembly, inspection, and issuance of manufacturing equipment. Perform routine maintenance and calibrations for lab instruments and the DI water system.
Specialized Processing: Execute gel treatment processes, including the addition of Sodium Azide and antibodies to gel.
Quality & Compliance: Open non-conformances, conduct investigations, and support departmental projects. Manage QC incoming receipt and inspection of raw materials.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality Control, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, and Engineering.
Working Environment & Physical Demands
This role operates within a GMP-licensed biologics manufacturing facility, primarily in the Formulation Department and Clean Room environments.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, sitting, and repetitive hand movements. High manual dexterity is required for processing and cleaning equipment.
Lab Conditions: Work involves exposure to steam, hazardous chemicals, and biological hazards (including blood products). Environments include room-temperature labs and walk-in refrigerators (2 C to 8 C).
PPE: Use of safety glasses, gloves, lab coats, and vinyl aprons is mandatory as required.
