Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage complex clinical procedures including suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and ostomy care.
- Provide acute pain management and participate in trauma medicine, critical care, ICU, PICU, or emergency room settings to stabilize and treat patients with urgent needs.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology procedures like CT scans or sonography, and assist with medical imaging interpretation.
- Support specialized care areas including hospice & palliative medicine, memory care, behavioral health, geriatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information and accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care coordination in settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics including medication administration, nutrition, disease management (e.g., infectious disease care), and post-acute care instructions.
- Maintain sterile processing standards during procedures involving sterile technique or surgical assistance in outpatient or inpatient environments.
Experience
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics.
- Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and order entry.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate medical records management.
- Previous roles involving medical-surgical nursing, primary care, occupational health, or home & community care are advantageous.
- Experience managing patients requiring complex interventions such as dialysis, cardiology procedures like catheterization, or infectious disease treatment.
- Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law related to occupational injuries is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to support diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Ability to perform advanced skills such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, IV insertion/insertion site care, airway management including ventilator support.
- Demonstrated competence in handling high-pressure situations within trauma centers or emergency departments while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
