Location: Bradenton, FL
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift: Nights & Evenings (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation: $22.39 – $31.34 per hour, based on experience.
Job Summary
The Medical Technician performs stat and routine clinical laboratory testing under the direction of laboratory leadership, ensuring accurate, timely results in compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical lab testing in licensed technical areas following established procedures.
- Apply laboratory theory and independent judgment to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain licensure and competency in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.
- Perform specimen collection, processing, and referral testing as needed.
- Support departmental goals for quality, compliance, patient satisfaction, and teamwork.
- Work independently and cover all laboratory areas as required.
Requirements
- National Medical Technologist certification (ASCP preferred).
- Florida State Medical Technologist licensure (minimum 3 lab areas required).
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hospital lab experience preferred; Blood Bank experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
