We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused professional to lead our Produce Department. The Produce Manager is responsible for maintaining fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing displays of fruits and vegetables, while ensuring compliance with company standards for safety, sanitation, and customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create a shopping experience that reflects abundance, quality, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Produce Department, ensuring cases and displays are fully stocked and rotated to maintain freshness.

• Receive, inspect, and properly store produce deliveries, following company protocols for quality and food safety.

• Display products to highlight freshness and abundance, ensuring accurate price labeling and signage.

• Monitor and report any pricing discrepancies, signage needs, or quality issues to store management.

• Collaborate with vendors to manage product orders and maintain appropriate stock levels.

• Train, supervise, and develop new and existing associates in stocking, merchandising, customer service, and department operations.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers, resolving concerns promptly, and responding resourcefully to requests.

• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and utilized according to company standards.

• Communicate effectively with store management regarding customer feedback, staffing needs, and operational issues.

• Support the company’s mission, vision, and values while helping achieve department and organizational goals.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Previous produce, grocery, or retail management experience strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, storage, and merchandising.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
