Position Available - Lead AV Technician – Commercial Integration
Location - Based in North Carolina – Projects Throughout the Southeast
Netcom is seeking a Lead Technician to join our growing team of audiovisual and technology professionals.
We’re searching for a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with at least 3 years of experience leading commercial AV integration projects. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage onsite installations, lead small teams, and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead AV installation teams onsite for commercial integration projects
· Interpret system drawings and scopes of work
· Manage day-to-day onsite logistics, quality, and coordination
· Ensure installations meet Netcom’s high standards and client expectations
· Interface professionally with customers and represent the Netcom brand
· Provide on-the-job training and guidance to technicians and apprentices
· Document changes and support project closeout processes
Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or foreman role in the AV industry
· Strong understanding of commercial AV systems including displays, speakers, control systems, cabling, and racks
· Proficient with tools, safety practices, and job site coordination
· Ability to read blueprints and AV drawings (AutoCAD, Visio, or similar)
· Strong communication and leadership skills
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Preferred (But Not Required):
· CTS or manufacturer certifications (Extron, Crestron, Biamp, etc.)
· Experience with structured cabling, access control, or surveillance systems
