Job Title: Project Manager - Digital

Location: Shelton, CT - Onsite Role

Duration: Long-term Contract

Job Description

Team Support and Enablement:

• Support teams in delivering business value by managing resources, tools, and processes.
• Foster a culture of trust, empowerment, and ownership among team members.
• Shield the team from external interruptions or unnecessary bureaucracy.
  
  

Facilitating Agile Practices:

• Organize and lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Ensure Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) are understood and followed effectively.
  
  

Delivery Management:

• Track team progress and delivery against timelines and objectives.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and impediments early, and work on mitigation strategies.
• Maintain a focus on continuous delivery and improvement.
  
  

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog based on business value.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders and leadership.
• Manage expectations and ensure transparency about delivery timelines and outcomes.
  
  

Metrics and Reporting:

• Use Agile metrics (velocity, lead time, cycle time, etc.) to monitor team performance.
• Provide actionable insights based on data to drive improvements in the delivery process.
  
  

Continuous Improvement:

• Encourage teams to reflect and adapt through regular retrospectives and feedback loops.
• Promote a culture of learning and innovation within the organization.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
  
  

Cross-Team Collaboration:

• Coordinate with other Agile teams to manage dependencies and shared objectives.
• Foster communication and alignment across different parts of the organization.
  
  

Skills and Qualities of an Agile Delivery Manager:

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong leadership and servant leadership mindset.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in tools like Jira, Trello, or other Agile project management tools.
• Analytical mindset for tracking metrics and driving improvements.
