Engineer 4 – Process (JNJNJP00071836) | 24-Month Contract
Location: Wilson, NC 27893
Description:
Support advanced engineering design and start-up activities for GMP large molecule biologics manufacturing facility systems and equipment. Provide integrated equipment, utility, and facility engineering expertise in support of technology transfer and manufacturing projects to enable right-first-time execution and start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide process engineering support for GMP biologics manufacturing facilities, including process systems, utilities, facilities, and operations.
• Support greenfield and brownfield manufacturing facility start-up activities including commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness.
• Lead and coordinate with external partners including A&E firms, construction teams, and equipment vendors for project execution and process system ownership.
• Support strategic CAPEX manufacturing projects through process engineering, equipment integration, and technology implementation.
• Provide technical expertise for technology transfer and new technology development projects ensuring process fit to plant standards and practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, engineering, automation, and operations teams to support project priorities and execution.
• Apply GMP and regulatory knowledge to support compliant manufacturing operations and project delivery.
• Support process equipment design and integration activities for biologics drug substance manufacturing systems.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of process/plant engineering experience in GMP large molecule biologics manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with GMP manufacturing facility start-up activities including process systems, automation, utilities, facilities, and operations.
• Strong background in process engineering and manufacturing engineering within biologics/drug substance environments.
• Experience supporting equipment design, process technology, and engineering project execution.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Salary : $70 - $72
