Job Title: CADD Technician II
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $35–37/hr on W2
Job Summary:
Seeking a CADD Technician II to support utility and gas infrastructure projects by preparing and maintaining piping, mechanical, and civil design drawings. This role will work closely with engineering and construction teams to develop accurate construction documentation and facility drawings.
Responsibilities:
Prepare piping, mechanical fabrication, civil site, grading, alignment, and profile drawings
Support gas distribution and utility infrastructure projects
Review drawings and provide project status updates
Research existing facility data and update as-built documentation
Interpret field notes, survey information, and construction documentation
Provide facility mapping and technical drawing support to internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project teams
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree or certificate in CAD/Drafting or equivalent experience
0–3 years of drafting/design experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Ability to read construction drawings, alignment sheets, and survey documents
Understanding of geometry, algebra, and drafting principles
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with utility, pipeline, gas distribution, or mechanical drafting
Knowledge of P&ID drawings and as-built documentation
