What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist position at Net-Integrated Consulting?
The Quality Assurance Specialist assesses software quality through manual and automated testing. They
are responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. A tester must be competent in executing
test cases and have a keen eye for detail, as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and maintain test cases
- Execute test cases and document the results
- Develop and maintain test data
- Develop and maintain SQL queries
- Execute queries and evaluate the results
- Document, replicate, report defects and verify fixes
- Communicate results to appropriate team members
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of testing/product quality experience performing the duties noted above; or
- Experience with writing SQL queries
- Experience with automated test scripts using QTP, TestComplete, etc. Experience as part of a QA
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Knowledge of a variety of technologies and/or the ability to understand technology dependencies

The Software QA Analyst reports to the Scrum Master/Project Manager

The corporate office is located in Urbandale, IA, and we have a location at the State Capitol in
downtown Des Moines, IA
