Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine acuity levels.
- Administer medications and injections with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.
- Manage airway patency using advanced techniques such as ventilator support and oxygen therapy; respond swiftly to acute pain or respiratory distress.
- Execute emergency procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care while maintaining sterile environments.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing, imaging (CT scans, sonography), and specimen processing.
- Triage incoming patients efficiently in a Level I or Level II trauma center setting, prioritizing care based on severity of injuries or illness.
- Provide education on post-discharge care plans including discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine options, and long-term management for complex cases such as dementia or developmental disabilities.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
Pay: $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
