As an RN House Supervisor, you will oversee hospital operations during your assigned shift, provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, coordinate patient care activities, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the facility. You will serve as a resource for staff, collaborate with physicians and department leaders, and help maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
RN House Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing operations across assigned units during scheduled shifts.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing and ancillary staff.
- Monitor patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist with staffing assignments and respond to changes in patient census and acuity.
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care situations and emergency response.
- Collaborate with physicians, department managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Respond to patient, family, and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
