Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Scranton, PA, for a Loan Officer. The Loan Officer will be responsible for assisting members in securing loans, including loan origination, evaluation, and approval. Daily tasks include assessing borrowers' financial situations, guiding members through the loan application process, underwriting loans, and maintaining compliance with lending regulations. Additionally, this role requires delivering excellent customer service to ensure member satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience in Loan Origination and working as a Loan Officer
- Proficiency in Finance and Underwriting principles
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on building relationships and providing exceptional member experiences
- Ability to assess creditworthiness and financial documents effectively
- Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail, decision-making, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a credit union or financial institution is a plus
