What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOAN PROCESSOR position at Choice One Community Credit Union?
Role:
To assist Loan Officers and members with processing new and existing loan applications and prepare all
necessary documentation accurately, efficiently and in compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
Assist in increasing loan growth and non-interest income through selling products and services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 70% Service, process, maintain and monitor loans efficiently and in compliance with credit union
policies and procedures.
E 20% Collection Account Support efficiently and in compliance with credit union policies and
procedures.
E 10% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
- Service, maintain and monitor all existing loans upon request.
- Process New Home Equity and Home Equity Lines of Credit. Review loan documents for completion and
compliance with credit union policies and procedures. Audit/monitor loan files to ensure all required
documents are present. Process loan disbursements and fund approved loans. Verify lien positions,
collateral, documentation and supporting paperwork to meet regulatory and internal compliance
- Audit Indirect loan for accuracy completion and compliance in accordance with the approval criteria.
Coordinate with indirect partners to resolve documentations issues. Enter loans into loan processing system.
Maintain accurate files for all indirect loan files
- Provide clerical collection support as needed in an effort to resolve delinquent accounts.
- Collateral Recording and Satisfactions on all secured loans. Process lien filings and releases as required.
Maintain accurate records of collateral status.
- Maintain, process and monitor all new and existing Visa Credit Card Accounts in compliance with credit
union policies and procedures.
- Meet or exceed the established mandatory cross selling goals of, credit life, credit disability and involuntary
unemployment participation, Gap Insurance and Mechanical Repair Coverage.
- Provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support with integrity to all members and
associates. Respond to all email and voicemail messages by the end of the business day.
- Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.

- Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies,
procedures, and applicable federal government rules and regulations.
- Develop skills to work effectively with other employees on your team to accomplish all job requirements
and assignments on a daily basis.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for
the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting
cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion,
requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills Must have good communication skills. Ten key calculator, typewriter and keyboard skills.
