Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food production following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, mixers, and dishwashers safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness by adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing protocols
- Support the culinary team with tasks like food handling, portioning, and plating to ensure timely meal service
- Assist with menu planning ideas and contribute to high-volume meal preparation for various service settings
- Ensure compliance with food safety management standards and proper food handling techniques at all times
- Support catering events by preparing dishes according to specifications and maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment
- Experience with food safety procedures, sanitizing practices, and high-volume production environments
