The role of Production Operator is a dynamic and challenging position that requires rotating job responsibilities throughout the department. This involves working in assigned roles based on the function of workflow defined in operations, as well as directing or coordinating the work of other operators.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the basic condition of equipment through cleaning, inspection, and lubrication activities.
- Operating machines, shutting down, changing over, cleaning up, and troubleshooting daily to ensure safe and quality production.
- Solving unusual and difficult problems by exercising ingenuity, critical thinking, and quick action to protect sterility of the process and product.
- Effectively working with interdepartmental personnel to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management or team leaders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Supporting and participating in Nestl Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) activities.
Safety, Health, and Environmental:
- FOLLOWING Fremont Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets, following plant safety rules, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, reporting incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintaining compliance with regulations, and referring to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
- Maintaining environmentally conscious production efforts.
