The Factory Manufacturing Excellence Manager is a key role at Nestle Operational Services Worldwide SA, responsible for developing and implementing a factory-wide performance improvement strategy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering or a related field, with experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement environments. They will be accountable for NCE Implementation Strategy, Nestle Pillar activities, and Industrial Performance responsibilities within the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-develop Factory improvement strategy that considers business priorities, loss analysis, external benchmarks, and three-year planned progression of KPIs, people, and workplace transformation.
- Gain alignment from the Factory Leadership Team/Key Stakeholders around the 3-year plan and cascade across all factory levels.
- Support the execution of the improvement plan by ensuring proper governance/routines at Factory & Local leadership levels, spending time on the factory floor to evaluate maturity progression, providing guidance and feedback to leadership, and training/coaching Factory Leadership Team/Pillar Owners/System Owners on needed system competences.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree required.
- MBA preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired.
Experience Requirements:
- 8-10 years in a manufacturing or continuous improvement environment, required.
- Food or CPG experience preferred, including direct production/maintenance floor experience, working with factory management/leadership teams, leading and developing cross-functional teams, project management, loss intelligence, and advanced problem-solving skills.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of digital tools, including Power BI, MES Systems, SAP, and other visualization tools/data analytics experience preferred.
- Strong leadership in cultural change management and managing multiple complex priorities and business connections.
- Ability to understand/learn new manufacturing processes and quickly identify their challenges and areas of opportunity.
- Advanced knowledge of TPM, Strong Problem-Solving capabilities, Solid understanding of Change Management, and demonstrated track record and competence on TPM and Lean and/or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies and implementation.
