Job Title: Private Label Forecast Analyst

Position Summary
The Private Label Forecast Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate SKU-level forecasts across all private label programs. This role uses historical shipment data, market trends, promotional plans, and customer insights to drive demand planning and inventory decisions.
The position works closely with Sales, Planning, Product Development, and Operations to ensure accurate forecasts, strong in-stock performance, and alignment between demand and production. The analyst also monitors key metrics, identifies slow-moving styles, and helps manage outsourced production orders to support customer demand.
Core Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SKU-level forecasts across all private label programs using historical shipment data, market trends, promotional plans, and customer input.
- Enter forecasts into the company forecasting system and monitor/update regularly based on new information.
- Maintain accurate sales set data and SKU-level sales group assignments in planning systems.
Cross-Functional Forecast Review
- Lead bi-weekly forecast and planning meetings with key product lines and customer teams.
- Review key performance metrics including:
- In-stock levels
- On-hand inventory
- Year-to-date orders
- Discuss upcoming:
- New product launches
- Product drops or transitions
- New customer programs
- Estimated arrival dates for incoming inventory
Inventory Management
- Identify slow-moving styles, colors, or SKUs and recommend discontinuation or inventory reduction strategies.
- Review closeout inventory weekly and communicate opportunities to the sales team.
- Monitor inventory performance to support high service levels and minimize excess inventory.
Forecast System Management
- Maintain forecast inputs within company planning tools and update forecasts frequently as market conditions change.
- Coordinate with the planning team on production priorities.
- Document new forecast buckets and demand changes within Monday.com or equivalent project management tools.
Supply & Order Coordination
- Place seasonal or replenishment orders for outsourced goods when required.
- Coordinate with supply chain and planning teams to ensure timely product availability.
Financial Forecasting
- Review and update monthly revenue forecasts based on demand trends, order activity, and forecast changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, supply chain analytics, purchasing, or inventory planning.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or data analysis tools.
- Experience with forecasting systems, ERP systems, or demand planning software preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Operations, and Planning teams.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with SKU-level forecasting in a consumer goods or apparel environment.
- Familiarity with inventory planning, replenishment strategies, and supply chain operations.
- Experience using Monday.com or similar workflow tools.
