π οΈ Key Responsibilities
π Transportation & Freight Management
- Manage daily inbound and outbound freight operations across multiple transportation modes
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments using LTL, FTL, parcel, expedited, and specialty freight services
- Monitor shipment activity and proactively resolve delays, shortages, damages, and service disruptions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and 3PL providers
- Evaluate transportation options to balance service performance, transit times, and freight costs
- Support freight claim management and transportation issue resolution
- Coordinate inbound deliveries with warehouse and operations teams for efficient receiving
- Ensure accurate documentation β bills of lading, packing slips, export docs, and customs paperwork
- Support inventory accuracy through shipment verification, audits, reconciliations, and tracking
- Collaborate with purchasing and production on material availability and delivery schedules
- Coordinate international freight movements and customs-related shipping activities
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and shipping requirements
- Maintain accurate logistics records within ERP and transportation management systems
- Support import and export activities as required
- Analyze transportation performance to improve service, efficiency, and cost control
- Monitor freight spend and support cost-reduction initiatives
- Develop logistics KPIs and reporting, including:

β Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, receiving, supply chain, or warehouse operations
- Experience managing LTL, FTL, parcel, expedited, and international freight shipments
- Working knowledge of transportation regulations, shipping documentation, and freight operations
- Experience with ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field
- Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or warehouse operations experience
- Experience negotiating carrier rates and transportation services
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management processes
- Experience supporting import/export operations and customs compliance
- Experience analyzing logistics data and implementing process improvements
