Nesco Resource
Tulsa, OK Full Time
POSTED ON 1/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/9/2026
🛠️ CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer - 2nd Shift

📍 Tulsa, OK (Must be local - no relocation)

🕒 Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (Enjoy 3-day weekends every week 🎉)

💰 Pay: $25-$35/hour (based on experience) overtime eligibility

⭐ Why This Role Stands Out

This is not a “button-pusher” machinist role. This position is built for a true CNC Programmer/Machinist—someone who enjoys owning the full process from programming and setup to machining and final inspection. You’ll work in a well-equipped shop producing custom, tight-tolerance components used in industrial heat exchange systems, with the autonomy to make decisions and the trust to run clean, efficient jobs.

If you enjoy programming your own parts, setting up your machines, and being valued for your technical skill—not micromanaged—this role delivers.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

  • CNC Programming & Setup: Program, set up, and run CNC machines using Inventor and Fusion 360 (experience here is critical)
  • Machining Execution: Perform milling, drilling, boring, tapping, and precision machining on custom components
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret detailed prints, specs, and job travelers
  • Process Optimization: Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Part Fabrication: Produce flanges, pipe headers, keyways, and other precision components
  • Quality & Safety: Inspect parts, maintain tooling, and follow safety and shop standards
  • Job Ownership: Track job progress, log completed work, and communicate issues proactively

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • CNC Programming Experience: Strong hands-on programming background (not just operating)
  • Software Knowledge: Inventor and Fusion 360 experience required
  • Machining Skillset: Comfortable running both CNC and manual machines
  • Independence: Able to work with minimal supervision and make sound machining decisions
  • Attention to Detail: Precision-driven with a strong quality mindset
  • Shift Availability: Able to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM) consistently

💼 Pay, Benefits & Stability

  • Pay: $25-$35/hour (based on experience)
  • Employment Type: Contract-to-hire with long-term stability
  • Hours: Steady schedule—no swing shifts, no travel
  • Shop & Tools: Modern machines, quality tooling, PPE provided 🧤
  • Benefits Upon Conversion: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays
  • Growth: Learn from experienced machinists and continue developing advanced programming skills 📈
  • Culture: Privately owned company with low turnover that values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork

🏭 Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Shop Setting: Active machine shop environment (not climate-controlled)
  • PPE Required: Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection
  • Physical Demands: Standing most of the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, strong hand-eye coordination required

Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
