Production Specialist Conveyor Belt Fabrication

Nesco is looking for a Production Specialist – Conveyor Belt Fabrication in the Grove City area.
Pay Range: Starting Rate: $20-$24/hr depending on experience
Standard Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8-5
Goal: Temp to Hire

Position Summary:
The Production Specialist – Conveyor Belt Fabrication is responsible for the precise fabrication, assembly, and finishing of conveyor belts and related components according to company specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements. This position ensures that all fabricated products meet quality, performance, and delivery standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly

• Cut, splice, and fabricate conveyor belts using specified materials (e.g
• Operate fabrication equipment such as presses, slitters, vulcanizers, and cutting tools.
• Perform hot and cold splicing, cleat welding, edge sealing, and other belt modification processes.
• Measure and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality according to drawings or work orders.

Production Operations

• Follow production schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, material usage, and quality checks.
• Ensure correct labeling, packaging, and shipment of finished belts.

Quality & Safety

• Conduct quality control inspections during and after fabrication to meet company and customer standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of tools, machinery, and materials.
• Identify and report any defects, equipment issues, or process improvements to supervisors.

Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Assist with preventive maintenance of fabrication tools and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in training sessions to expand skills and maintain knowledge of new fabrication techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in conveyor belt fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or a related mechanical trade.
• Proficiency with industrial hand tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and safety documents.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and handle materials up to [50 lbs / 25 kg] regularly.
• Standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with belt vulcanization (hot/cold) or endless splicing.
• Familiarity with conveyor system components and field service work.
• Basic computer skills for work order entry and data logging.
• Forklift or material handling skill
