Job Objective:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, material utilization, and on-time delivery. This role provides strategic and operational leadership by aligning people, processes, and resources to achieve business objectives and drive continuous improvement. The position is accountable for optimizing operational performance while fostering a culture centered on employee safety, product excellence, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of safety by ensuring full compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating workplace risks.
• Lead manufacturing operations to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards for quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and production volume.
• Manage workforce capacity to support changing business demands, including the development and execution of cross-training programs and labor contingency plans across value streams.
• Develop and implement data-driven operational strategies, action plans, and performance metrics to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and customer service levels.
• Establish clear performance expectations, drive accountability, and develop high-performing teams aligned with plant and organizational objectives.
• Identify training and development opportunities, mentor employees, and build organizational capability through hands-on leadership and coaching.
• Lead change management initiatives and foster employee engagement to ensure successful implementation of process improvements and operational transformations.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing principles and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives that lower Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and improve overall profitability.
• Analyze operational data and key performance indicators to identify root causes, improve processes, and enhance business performance.
• Ensure manufacturing systems, processes, and management practices align with industry best practices and global operational standards.
• Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business objectives and operational excellence.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures, and standards are consistently understood, communicated, and followed throughout the organization.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-volume, process-driven manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Strategy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, mentoring, and leading manufacturing supervisors, technical personnel, and production teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound decision-making skills with the ability to act decisively and influence outcomes.
• Results-driven leader with a strong sense of urgency, resilience, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), ERP systems such as Oracle, SPC software, and other manufacturing technologies.
