- Preparing/Checking of 3D Revit and Inventor structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.
- Create/Check definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC and electrical.
- Design activity will require knowledge of design principles and drafting procedures.
- Work with BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plan.
- Support Civil Structural Team in 3D model (Navisworks, Revit, Inventor).
- Proficient in Revit & Autodesk suite of tools.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
- Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions
- An Associates degree in Structural Design (or similar) 5 years of experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries.
- OR at least 10 years of relevant work experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries.
- Minimum 5 years of experience using Inventor and REVIT
- Performed Drafting/Modeling Checking role for 5 years or more
- Must be able to pass nuclear security background check for access
- Serve in role as Drafting/Modeling Checker to ensure complicance with drafting standards and model management
- Experience managing project work schedules and priorities.
- Work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D Model in Autodesk Tool suite (Revit)
- Work within a team environment to execute work plans and schedules as applicable for mission success.
- Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft teams
- Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation
- Autodesk Inventor experience a plus
- Experience using Autodesk BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Experience using Autodesk Vault
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor
