CNC Programmer/Machinist

We are currently hiring a CNC Programmer/Machinist for our second shift. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is driven by continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

·        Set up and operate CNC grinding machines to produce parts according to specifications.

·        Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers to understand project requirements.

·        Perform in-process and final inspections using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, roundness equipment, surface profilometer, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), etc.).

·        Maintain tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

·        Collaborate with Engineering to apply and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in production process.

·        Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

·        Ensure safe operation of machinery and adherence to safety protocols at all times.

·        Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and optimizing the honing and machining process.

Qualifications

·        3–5 years of experience in CNC machining and/or programming.

·        Proven proficiency with CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

·        Strong understanding of CNC programming (G-code and/or CAM software).

·        Experience with SolidWorks, CAD tools, and CAM programming preferred.

·        Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical problem-solving skills.

·        Competent in performing precision measurements and calculations.

·        Aerospace industry experience is a plus.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
