What you will be doing
As the Director of Federal Strategy, you will assist the Business Development and Government team in navigating the complex budgetary, regulatory, and policy landscape that affects the company's operations and vision. This position will identify and provide analysis to leadership on the federal budget process, and ensure potential pitfalls are forecasted and mitigated. Additionally, the Director of Federal Strategy will leverage existing relationships within the different branches of government to advise the Head of Government Affairs on both strategic and tactical courses of action.
You should have the following
- 6 years experience in monitoring federal strategy, or related fields
- Experience working in high-intensity environments
- Ability to work closely with leadership in rapid iteration cycles
- Exceptional communication skills with military and civilian stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into compelling policy narratives
- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the U.S. defense ecosystem, including DoD procurement, congressional appropriations, and national security policy
Nice to have
- Prior military experience or experience engaging with the military
- Proven track record monitoring DoD contracts
- Active TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain one
US Salary Range
$180,000 - $225,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
