What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Associate Manufacturing Engineer I position at Neptune?
Position Summary
The Senior Associate Manufacturing Engineer I will work closely with other engineering disciplines to specify, design, and/or implement automation equipment and tooling necessary for the optimization of production processes. They will provide technical assistance in maintaining production machines and equipment as well as identify process improvements to increase production efficiency. They also determine and recommend equipment upgrade and replacement costs.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes, including robotics, to optimize manufacturing processes. Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing systems to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Develop and conduct testing protocols to ensure the proper functionality of automated systems. Validate and troubleshoot automation solutions to meet quality and safety standards. Create and maintain documentation for automation systems, including technical specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Work closely with cross functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and production personnel, to implement automation solutions. Stay current with advancements in automation technology and recommend upgrades or changes as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or closely related field.
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience required; 7 years preferred.
