School Nurse Certification required. Applicants without a School Nurse Certificate must demonstrate the following, to be eligible for the Emergency School Nurse Certificate.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current New Jersey registered professional nurse license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
- Transcript indicating the completion of a course in public health nursing.
- Current BLS, CPR, AED Certification as issued by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the National Safety Council, or other entities determined by the Department of Health to comply with the American Heart Association's CPR guidelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge, background, and experience in nursing duties/responsibilities required
- Pediatrics/Emergency Dept/ICU experience preferred
- Recent hospital clinical experience preferred
- Interpersonal/organizational/flexibility/Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills required
- Experience with mandatory electronic tracking and reporting of program-related data preferred
- Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance
- Physical exam required
