- Experience providing professional development to classroom teachers;
- A preschool instructional coach appointed prior to September 1, 2007, shall hold, at a minimum, a preschool through grade three standard instructional certificate or an N-8 standard instructional certificate, as set forth at N.J.A.C. 6A:9B.
- Experience with the Pyramid Model to support social-emotional development and address challenging behaviors in preschool settings.
- Experience implementing data-driven interventions, using classroom observations and assessment data to inform instructional and behavioral supports.
- Experience collaborating within a consultative model to support teachers and promote inclusive practices in general education preschool classrooms.
- Certification that includes an endorsement for bilingual education or English as a second language;
- Certification that includes an endorsement for teacher of students with disabilities or teacher of the handicapped;
- A graduate degree in early childhood education with an emphasis on early literacy and/or early mathematics; and/or
- A graduate degree in educational supervision and/or leadership.

In addition to the requirements above, a preschool instructional coach shall demonstrate one or more of the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: See attached Job Description (job description should be added in Recruiting and Hiring)
Technology Skills: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.
Evaluation of Performance: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
Terms of Employment: 10 Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement. See above for specific salary information.
