What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Neptune Nursery?
Neptune Nursery is a busy, local nursery and landscape supply yard. We're looking for a strong Sales Associate with a positive attitude who loves helping customers and making the sale.
This job is outdoors. Please don't apply if you aren't comfortable working outside in Florida weather. Weekends are required.
What You'll Do:
- Help customers choose plants, palms, sod, mulch, rock, and pottery
- Take orders, give sod estimates, and schedule deliveries
- Answer phones and run the register (Clover POS)
- Suggest add-ons and follow up with customers to close sales
- Help unload trucks, move plants, and keep the nursery organized
- Help water and care for the plants
- Other duties as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Sales or customer service experience (required)
- Must have a good memory and strong attention to detail (orders, prices and deliveries need to be right)
- Positive, friendly, and confident with customers
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Not afraid of physical work
- Comfortable with a register, computer, Word, Google Docs, iPhone, and counting money
- Valid driver's license (required)
- A Plus If You Have:
- Plant or landscaping knowledge
- Interest in landscape design
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Pay is negotiable based on experience.
