Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, Field Service Technician to support our growing customer base. This role is essential to our post-sales success, providing diagnostics, maintenance, and customer support for NeoVolta energy residential storage and solar systems. The equipment consists of hybrid solar inverters and batteries. Occasional training of crews on site. The ideal candidate will be independent, safety-focused, and capable of delivering exceptional technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for NeoVolta battery and solar systems throughout California
- Schedule and complete customer service visits, diagnostics, and repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and quality inspections; complete detailed reports
- Train local installers on best practices for system installation and configuration
- Interpret technical drawings and system designs with accuracy and attention to detail
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards on all job sites
- Represent NeoVolta professionally and independently in the field
- Occasionally work outside of normal business hours to meet project needs
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of hands-on electrical installation or service experience
- Electrician license required
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus
- Preferred fluency in both English and Spanish
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- NABCEP certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Ability to read and implement construction and electrical plan sets
- Self-starter able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights, on roofs, and in tight spaces
- Frequent climbing, kneeling, crawling, and use of ladders
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and around energized systems
- Use of hand and power tools required
- Willingness to work extended hours as necessary

Pay: $33.00 - $45.00 per hour
