The Engineering Technician I is based on-site and based in NEOTech's facility located in Westborough, MA. Salary range is $25 - $32 per hour. Wage to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data.

Summary

Responsible for assembly and inspection of press-fit components onto printed circuit boards, focusing on machine operation, process monitoring, and quality checks.

• Role: Optimizes and maintains the press-fit assembly process.
• Responsibilities
• Defines and adjusts press parameters (e.g., force, speed) to ensure proper connection.
• Sets up and calibrates press-fit machines for different products.
• Develop tools and processes for press-fit components across multiple assemblies.

• Role: Operates press-fit machines and tools to install components onto PCBs.
• Responsibilities

• Loads PCBs and press-fit components into the machine.
• Starts and monitors the press-fit process, ensuring it runs smoothly.
• May perform basic maintenance on the machines and report any issues.
• Conducts visual inspections of components after pressing

Key Skills and Knowledge

• Technical Understanding: Knowledge of press-fit technology principles, including how components are pressed into plated-through holes.
• Machine Operation: Ability to operate press-fit assembly machines.
• Troubleshooting: Skill in identifying and resolving issues during the assembly process.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on precise hole tolerances and proper component positioning.

Experience/Education

• AS in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Suite).
• Basic mechanical drawing.
• Ability to interpret specifications.
• Working knowledge of industry standards: IPC-610, ESD, ISO 9002, and all other applicable ISO standards.
