Description Of Services

As a System Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and integration of the CAPPS STARR system, a SaaS solution (Advantage) provided by CGI. This position collaborates closely with CPA Information Technology and Fiscal Management teams to analyze, document, and validate system and reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business needs.

The analyst will support system integration efforts with legacy platforms such as USAS and TINS, coordinate technical discussions and requirements-gathering sessions, and translate business needs into clear technical specifications. Vendor coordination and lifecycle support are essential components of this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SaaS platforms—preferably Advantage—and possess a strong understanding of system architecture, data integration, and reporting tools. The position requires strong documentation and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and recommending scalable solutions is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support and enhancements for financial systems, including general ledger and reporting functions within a SaaS ERP platform.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to analyze requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with financial business processes.
• Analyze system architecture and data flows to support financial integrations, configuration decisions, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Design, implement, and maintain financial data integrations, including ETL processes, APIs, web services, and secure file exchanges between CGI Advantage and other enterprise systems.
• Manage and troubleshoot financial inbound and outbound interfaces, ensuring reconciliation, auditability, and compliance with Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Develop and support financial reporting and dashboards using Power BI and Advantage-native tools.
• Perform complex troubleshooting of financial transactions, balances, and data discrepancies.
• Support integration testing, regression testing, and UAT for financial system changes.
• Document technical designs, data mappings, test results, and resolution steps.
• Ensure system security, access controls, and data transmission processes meet CPA and state compliance standards.
• Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, defect triage, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting financial system availability.
  
  

Required Abilities

• Extensive experience supporting enterprise financial systems in a SaaS environment (Advantage ERP, Oracle Cloud, Workday, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SaaS deployment models and configuration vs. customization boundaries.
• Experience working with business users to gather and validate requirements.
• Ability to translate business processes into SaaS configuration requirements.
• Knowledge of SaaS integration practices including REST APIs, SFTP, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi.
• Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and RBAC in SaaS applications.
  
  

Required Skills

• Familiarity with CGI Advantage administration tools and security roles.
• Experience troubleshooting inbound/outbound interfaces and reviewing ICDs.
• Experience with middleware such as Apache Camel.
• Experience with Power BI or Advantage reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Test Savvy or similar SaaS regression/UAT tools.
• Ability to create test scenarios and scripts.
• SQL for data validation.
• Excel and macros for data preparation.

• 8 years: Supporting enterprise financial systems (ERP or equivalent) in production environments.
• 6 years: Working in SaaS application environments; understanding configuration vs. customization.
• 6 years: Requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, and project coordination for SaaS solutions.
• 5 years: Developing technical documentation and system specifications.
• 5 years: Completing at least two full lifecycle SaaS ERP implementations.
• 5 years: Supporting system integrations including APIs, ETL, batch interfaces, and secure file transfers.
• 4 years: Working with reporting tools.
• 4 years: Working with middleware tools such as Apache Camel.
• 4 years: Developing and monitoring Control-M jobs.
• 4 years: Working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• 4 years: Troubleshooting complex systems with vendors and internal teams.

• 4 years: Hands-on SaaS support including financial modules and security roles.
• 3 years: Supporting state government financial or treasury systems (CPA, USAS, TINS).
• 3 years: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 3 years: Knowledge of financial functions (GL, AP, AR, Budget Control, etc.).
• 3 years: Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• 3 years: Knowledge of Snowflake or cloud-based data platforms.
• 2 years: Designing or supporting Power BI dashboards.
• 2 years: Using SaaS testing tools such as Test Savvy.
