Project Scheduler
Location: St. Louis, MO
Build the Schedule That Drives Successful Projects
We are seeking a Project Scheduler to support the planning, monitoring, and optimization of schedules for complex mechanical construction projects. This role will partner closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, estimators, BIM/VDC teams, and field personnel to develop and maintain schedules that support successful project delivery.

What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, or similar scheduling software.
- Build realistic project timelines by identifying activities, durations, sequencing, and critical path dependencies.
- Collaborate with project managers, field leadership, engineers, estimators, fabricators, subcontractors, and owners to gather schedule information.
- Monitor project progress and incorporate field updates, production data, and BIM/Stratus information into project schedules.
- Identify schedule variances, delays, and risks and recommend mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Produce schedule reports, forecasts, and executive-level presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support resource planning and coordination across multiple projects.
- Assist with claims analysis, delay evaluations, and recovery planning efforts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements.
- Develop schedule-based forecasting tools, including:
- Cost and billing curves
- Man-hour burn-down reports
- Resource and asset histograms
- Work with project teams to align schedules with cost codes, billing milestones, and BIM deliverables.
- Identify plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, piping, ductwork, controls, and insulation activities that impact project critical paths.
- Support Lean Construction and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of construction scheduling experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining schedules for commercial, industrial, healthcare, government, manufacturing, higher education, or large-scale construction projects.
- Working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, or comparable scheduling software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple schedules and competing priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Associate degree with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, piping, ductwork, controls, or MEP construction projects.
- Familiarity with BIM, VDC, and Stratus platforms.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), resource loading, and cost-loaded schedules.
- Knowledge of permitting, inspections, commissioning, and project closeout processes.
- Understanding of Lean Construction principles and Agile scheduling methodologies.
- Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification from AACE International.
- Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta software certifications.
