Scope of Work
High-voltage transmission and/or substation construction projects supporting utility customers throughout the region.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project management of master service agreements and site-specific transmission projects. The PM serves as the primary customer interface while ensuring field operations have the resources, contractual guidance, and support needed to execute projects safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high-voltage transmission and substation construction projects from initiation through closeout.
- Administer master service agreements and site-specific contracts.
- Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage contract negotiations, change orders, subcontractors, and material procurement.
- Develop project estimates, proposals, schedules, and financial forecasts.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and safety meetings.
- Monitor project financial performance, invoicing, profitability, and cash flow.
- Support emergency response and storm restoration activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with EH&S and quality programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of project management experience in transmission, substation, or utility construction.
- Knowledge of project management principles, contract administration, and project accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project and/or Primavera is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
