Our client is seeking to fill the position of HVAC Controls Estimator to focus on Commercial and Federal markets.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing price estimates for materials and labor for HVAC controls projects.
- Coordinate bids from customers
- Work alongside project design team to learn and apply technologies to meet specified scope.
- Write detailed proposals that accomplish the specifications, scope of work, plans, drawings and sequence of operation
- Coordinate with Sales and Account managers and attend site visits, pre-bid conferences.
- Work with the design team to perform take-offs
- Conduct weekly bid board meetings coordinated with sales, engineering, operations and leadership
- Responsible for estimating price for materials and labor for projects
- Identify cost savings opportunities for bids
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years' experience in estimating HVAC Controls projects preferred
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior HVAC Controls field experience is preferred
- Experience in reading and understanding construction specification plans
- Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time.
- Must be able to pass a federal government background check.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in windows suite of products
- Experience in CAD, Visio or Bluebeam
